About Us

If you are looking to establish a strong academic foundation for your child, then look no further than this school. Reading Friends is a prestigious academic preschool located in Keller, Texas.

Reading Friends uses its own curriculum that teaches to all learning styles through a multi-sensory approach based on Orton-Gillingham principles. All children graduate from this program with the confidence and the tools they need for future success in school. The teachers focus not only on the academic development of the students, but each teacher is dedicated to providing a loving, nurturing, and empowering environment for every child to feel confident and successful both inside and outside the classroom.

Reading Friends was established over 34 years ago to offer a balance of developmental growth with an academic foundation and preparedness for children ages 2 through Pre-K. The Keller location also offers a private Kindergarten class with individualized curriculum and small class ratios.

Marsha Wesley, owner of the Keller location, brought this program to the area to equip children to be successful after having a desire to teach children.

The hours of operation are 9am-1pm, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for stay late until 2pm. These after-school programs include Spanish, Art, Literacy, Yoga, Fitness/Nutrition, Science, and Cooking. Enrichment Classes

“Multisensory learning involves the use of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic-tactile pathways simultaneously to enhance memory and learning of written language. Links are consistently made between the visual (language we see), auditory (language we hear), and kinesthetic-tactile (language symbols we feel) pathways in learning to read and spell.” (Shelton)

“When taught by a multisensory approach, students have the advantage of learning alphabetic patterns and words with engagement of all learning styles.” (Shelton)
